Elaine Williamson

Director of Innovation & Development

Professional Background

I started my career in leadership while at Magic Mountain when I was 16, then broadened my horizons when I began working in the construction industry, both as a helper and in the office. After more than a decade in the construction industry, I was a project manager overseeing million-dollar projects while volunteering full-time with local youth groups. I branched out into real estate and loans while working with special needs kids on the Spectrum, shortly before I joined the founding program that launched MLN, where I have thrived for the last 12 years.

What do you consider to be your greatest professional achievement so far?

The acceptance that failure is just another opportunity to learn and try again.

On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me…

Reading.

What was your favorite subject in school?

Graphic Arts, Shop class, & English.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?

A Folklorico dancer.

What inspired you to pursue a career in this field, and how does it align with your passions and interests?

I didn’t really pursue a career specifically. I found I had talents through trial and error, then after joining MLN, I was encouraged to pursue what I loved. By exploring the talents and focus of my passion, I have carved out a niche where I can contribute to MLN’s success and continued growth, for which I am grateful.
